Ernesto Colnago started building race frames in Cambiago, a small town outside Milan, in 1954. The work was simple at the start: a good tube, a careful joint, and a frame that rode true on the road. Those frames went out under the best racers of their time, and Eddy Merckx rode Colnago to some of his biggest wins. That is why the name still carries weight in a peloton.

The range today keeps that racing core, but each bike has its own job. The Y1Rs is the aero bike, cut for flat, fast races and sprints, with a front end designed to slip through the air. The V5Rs weighs 685 grams, the lightest Colnago frame ever, built for long climbs and long days. The C72 is the lugged frame: seven carbon tubes bonded into lugs, finished by hand in Italy, for riders who want the old way of building a bike.
Dragonspine Cycling, Chicago, is an authorized Colnago dealer. Every Colnago is built to order, so each one starts with a conversation: share the riding goals and the budget by phone, by email or in person at Dragonspine Cycling, Chicago, and the team will help choose the right frame and the right build.
